Toyobo plastics are specialized for metal replacement and lightweighting in automotive applications. The company's main resin products include PBT and nylon, and feature grade A appearance, high modulus/strength properties and low warpage. This presentation will introduce GLAMIDE (nylon) materials for metal replacement. These materials are fully injection moldable and are already in use in several automobiles across multiple OEMs, replacing metal in applications such as IP and console brackets, side door mirror shafts and brackets and even A-surface applications such as air vent fins.
